Abstract :
An element of double square rings covered with a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) layer for the high power reflectarray antenna is proposed in this paper. The simulation result shows that a full 360° range of phase shifts at the central frequency of 9.7GHz is achieved, and the power capacity of the element is increased by two orders of magnitude compared with the one without a layer, which make it possible to apply the reflectarray antennas to the high-power microwave (HPM) system.
