Abstract :
To improve the identification rate of the information on aircraft´s HUD interface, GL Studio is adopted to quickly build the virtual instrument interface of HUD, which is driven by flight simulation equations. The virtual instrument interface of HUD is imported into three-dimensional vision system for the ergonomics evaluation of character type, font type and color of the displayed information. The reaction time and correct rate are chosen as the ergonomics evaluation indices, as well as the synchronized physiological measurement of electro dermal activity (EDA) is carred out as auxiliary evaluation. The experimental results manifest that the correct rate of identification for Chinese character is higher than that of the English character. The font of the best identification performance with the shortest reaction time and highest correct rate is Official script in Chinese and Calibri in English. Green is the character color with the best identification performance. The character identification performance has the trend that Official Song typeface in Chinese, and Arial in English. The three fonts under the two different character types have the most significant difference when the character color is yellow, but the least difference when the character color is green.
