Title :
Observations support for water management — JAXA´s satellite observations
Abstract :
TRMM and Aqua/AMSR-E are still going on to provide us valuable products for a long time. TRMM products are updated from ver.6 to ver. 7 from 1 July 2011. These long-lasting and constant quality data make us understand the variation of water and energy cycle and climate, and discover the change of them. → Utilization for decision-making based on the research of water cycle and climate change Combination of TRMM, AMSR-E and other microwave sensors provide us high frequency global rainfall maps. → Utilization for building up of infrastructure based on operational use of satellite data Development of GPM and GCOM-W1/AMSR2 is in good progress. Scheduled to be launched in winter of 2011/2012 (JFY2011), and will join “A-train” orbit. Continuous operation of TRMM, Aqua/AMSR-E, GPM and GCOM series will strongly contribute to GEOSS.
