Abstract :
The CAN bus is one field bus which is used widely. The development and the application of the CAN bus is introduced in the paper. The main problem of the CAN bus is that there are several different application layer protocols, which is analyzed in the paper. The iCAN protocol developed independently by China is introduced in details, together with the characteristic of Cortex-M3, and a multi-axis numerical and control system based on iCAN protocol is designed.
