Abstract :
DNA is the crucial material foundation for survival, reproduction and evolutionary development of species. DNA sequences data compression plays an important role in storage, management and transmission of massive genetic data. In the field of data compression, there are not only classical data compression algorithms but also some improved algorithms that are specific to DNA sequences data compression. In this paper, we propose an optimized method for BWT-based DNA sequence data multi-compression algorithm by using OpenMP and MPI. The revised algorithm has a good performance.
