Abstract :
This paper presents an indoor positioning solution using the Weibull model for approximating the WiFi signal strength distribution. Practical measurements showed that main disadvantages of maximum likelihood and graphical methods could be overcome with the moment-based methodology. Results show the possibility of indoor positioning through inquiring the WiFi-enabled handsets in range.
