Abstract
The consumers want to distribute television content across home networks while the content providers want the content to flow, provided they get paid for it. Public service broadcasters have obligations to ensure content is freely accessible. Protecting the broadcast is a different problem from protecting in-home. There are are multiple approaches in use today where interoperability between these approaches is a challenge.
