Abstract :
Local control center simulator to test an improved train control system using on-board control is discussed here. Improved train control system using on-board control developed to improve efficiency of train operation is a technology to control wayside objects directly from on-board controller. Introduction of this system will simplify wayside structures, leading to efficient and cost-effective train control system. The prototype of wayside object control unit to control crossing gate, switch and on-board controller was developed and LCC simulator was made to test prototype. Results from interface testing of simulator and improved train control system using on-board control are discussed here.
