Abstract :
In this paper, a model for multi-period generation expansion planning (GEP) is presented. The proposed model is able to present a clear perspective to government for investment in generation. Some limits in fuel and environmental emission are also considered. Genetic Algorithm (GA) is used to optimize the results. Finally, the feasibility of this approach is demonstrated using a test power system.
