Abstract :
A real-time optimal multiresolutional sensor/data fusion algorithm that gives fusion results based upon all available data at a particular time index is derived. A multiresolutional distributed filtering scheme is used. The wavelet transforms are utilized as a bridge effectively linking different resolution levels. A tree-like hierarchical data structure facilitates real-time multiresolutional sensor/data fusion
