Abstract :
Fiber To The Home (FTTH) deployment is crucial for telecommunication operators for both economical and quality of service reasons. This paper deals with a real-life Passive Optical Network (PON) design problem focusing on optical cabling constraints. This decision problem is formulated as an integer linear program (ILP) and several solving approaches are designed. Tests performed on real instances assess the efficiency of the proposed solution algorithms.
