Abstract :
This paper is on the field test for the railroad level crossing obstacle detection system using laser scanner that has been developed for the safety and reliability improvement of railroad transportation. The functionality and the performance of the newly developed detection system have been verified in the field test in the actual operating site. In order to test the new functions of the system, the test procedure has been developed and documented. The developed test procedure has been applied to the actual field test for the system validation.
