  • Abstract
A PowerPoint presentation on an innovative surveillance product, the video motion anomaly detector (VMAD), is provided. The VMAD market, barriers to market entry, and the future of VMAD are discussed. VMAD is a self-learning system. It builds a statistical picture of normal behaviour and compares the norm to detect anomalous behaviour. It adapts to the environment that it is monitoring. VMAD complements rule-based systems
