Abstract :
In the embedded integrated navigation system, the high speed multi-serial communication between DSP and peripheral devices is necessary. In the integrated navigation system, DSP is used to process the navigation information, and FPGA is used to control the peripheral devices. In order to meet the system real time capability, UART is designed in the FPGA and connect to DSP by DSP´s EMIF. In this way, DSP can be devoted in complicated navigation algorithm and enhance the efficiency and speed of the serial communication. This paper describes the realization of high speed serial communication based on FPGA.
