Abstract
A printed trident shaped triple-band monopole antenna for wireless application is proposed. The antenna has three different resonant paths (forming a trident shaped structure), supports three resonances at around 2.43 GHz, 3.43 GHz and 5.22 GHz, which are reserved for WLAN and other wireless applications. Effectively constant radiation pattern and large impedance bandwidth has been observed. Impedance bandwidth for-10 dB return loss in the 2.43 GHz, 3.34 GHz and 5.12 GHz reaches 1.01 GHz (1.92 GHz to 2.93 GHz), 0.92 GHz (3.19 GHz to 4.11 GHz) and 1.31 GHz (4.69 GHz to 6 GHz) respectively.
