Abstract :
If three duplicate acknowledgements are received, TCP Reno protocol would judge the occurrence of congestion somewhere between source and destination of network, and then halve the rate. This paper introduces the congestion judgment indicator of TCP Vegas into TCP Reno protocol in wireless networks, and analyses these duplicate acknowledgements further, if the current network is not in a state of congestion, then it doesn´t need to reduce rate and thereby the throughput of wireless networks would be improved.
