Abstract
In recent years, demands about offshore plant developments are increasing. Since the cost of installation of offshore plants in the deep ocean is very high, operation and realtime monitoring of offshore plants is not only important to produce a high performance such as tremendous profits but maintenance of them is also crucial to prevent accidents. However, since offshore plants are custom built compared with other industry domains such as an automobile, there are no issues about standardization of equipment´s control and monitoring interfaces. In this point, performance analysis and monitoring system of equipment in offshore should be implemented according to the specific plant equipment and environment. In order to minimize dependency on the specific equipment, the operating environment, and the performance testing standard, we proposed the UML profile for the performance monitoring system and a modeling approach using the UML profile.
