Abstract :
Summary form only given. The generation of coherent cw-UV-radiation by frequency conversion of laser diodes is of importance for many applications. For high power lasers, intra-cavity SHG within the laser resonator can be used. In our case, the beam of a 7.8 mW oscillator diode (670 nm) was reduced by an isolator to 5.6 mW and amplified by a double-pass broad area diode with 100% mirror and AR coating at the front face (total gain 240).
