Abstract
This paper presents the design of a supervisory system to monitor the main parameters of a bearingless machine. Parameters as voltage, current, rotor velocity and positions xy serve as basis for finding other such as torque, magnetic field flux inside the machine and energy associated with the position control. This information will enable the development of more precise speed and position controllers, and to facilitate the execution of tests, and analysis of data generated. In addition to the monitoring and calculation of parameters, the supervisory system has been developed to perform tasks as saving these parameters in files to afterwards compare them with simulation results based on the bearingless machine. Labview was chosen as the software platform to develop the supervisory system. This platform allows an easy and intuitive interface and having a connection with the module parameters via acquisition board itself. The control of the whole process is done by a DSP which communicates via serial port with the supervisory system.
