Abstract :
The goal of teaching is ultimately the learning achieved by the student. Active learning has proven to be extremely effective in inciting students to learn. Techniques to engage students in their learning and utilizing technologies that are inherently more natural to learning synergistically combine to enhance the learning experience. The workshop leaders share their own successes, as well as not so successful experiences, at Purdue University and engage attendees to share their experiences. Each session is highly interactive, with plenty of time to discuss issues and ideas as they arise. The approach is to raise questions, facilitate discussion, share experiences, and then to propose potential solutions that arise while applying the art and technology of teaching. Based upon attendee input, this workshop will present selected modules of those listed in this paper
