  • Abstract
    This paper proposes evaluation parameters for comparing the closeness between full level and reduced level waveforms in impulse test of power transformers. As lighting impulse tests with chopped waveforms generally have differences in the chopping time, a simple direct comparison could lead to erroneous conclusions, and transformers that pass the test can be judged as failure. The proposal is applied to estimate the quality of different comparing algorithms using real test results.
