Abstract :
Aiming at the problem of calculating the shortest distance between two points on the ellipsoid, three mathematical models are established by using three different mathematical methods, i.e. Bessel method, integration method, and the method of Mathematica software package. Therefore, it provides several new effective ways to calculate the shortest distance of two points on the ellipsoid.
