Abstract :
This paper shows a study of the interferences introduced in the power network produced by the asynchronous generators. It is aimed at presenting a comparison of the behaviour of the generators used in renewable energy plants; namely asynchronous generators in their two modalities: squirrel cage and wound rotor. The advantage of the squirrel cage relies on its great simplicity, but the improvement in regulation and electrical power quality of wound rotor generators has also been improved. The latter provide stator and rotor regulation, that is to say, a doubly-fed generator. These results have been obtained from measurements taken in the ETAP (drinking water treatment station) of Logrono for squirrel cage induction generators, and in Yerga wind farm (La Rioja) for wound rotor generators
