Abstract :
Summary form only given. We recently demonstrated the first persistent (non-destructive read-out) holographic recording in doubly-doped lithium niobate. In the presentation, we propose and experimentally demonstrate a recording schedule for multiplexing many persistent holograms in doubly-doped LiNbO/sub 3/ with equal diffraction efficiencies. We performed experiments with a congruently melting x-cut LiNbO/sub 3/ crystal doped with 0.075 wt. % Fe/sub 2/O/sub 3/ and with 0.01 wt. % MnO.
