Abstract
The draping and buckling of woven fabric is simulated based on full Lagrange finite element method. In the finite element analysis, the woven fabric sheet is discretized with 8-node shell elements. In the incremental load analysis, the method of load control and displacement control is alternately used to analyze the critical buckling load and buckling mode of fabric sheet and post-buckling deformation is calculated. Numerical simulation results and the experimental results are compared and the results are consistent with observations. Research results provide a theoretical and technical basis for the "fitting system" development of apparel CAD.
