Realization of reliable stage control console based on CPLD

Plenty of switch information that were transferred between PLC and control console in the stage boom control system is analyzed. A control console based on CPLD and touch panel is introduced according to the characteristic and requirement of the control system. The operation principle of control console and CPLD software design are discussed in detail. The CPLD is adopted to achieve peripheral signal processing and control for logic and sequence. The simulation and application show that the method discussed is not only simple and reliable, but also save a lot of PLC I/O modules.
