Abstract :
In bipolar preferences handling, the possibilistic logic framework is limited in real applications by two limitations: the requirement of coherence between positive goals and rejections, and the absence of bipolar preferences combination strategies. In this paper, a necessity degree based quadrivalent logic framework is introduced to handle bipolar preferences. In the new framework, not only two limitations are released, also it is proved the possibilistic logic framework is a special case of the new framework.
