Abstract
Three different types of electromagnetic cloaks are studied for their ability to cloak metal objects from an electromagnetic pulse. It is shown by numerical full-wave simulations that, at least in the studied cases where the cloaks´ diameters are smaller than a half of the wavelength, the transmission-line cloak and the metal-plate cloak offer significantly wider bandwidth of operation and thus mitigate distortion and delay of pulses propagating through the cloaks, as compared to the coordinate transformation cloak.
