Abstract
Studying crop potential model system based on GIS and distributed computing architecture may effectively improve computational efficiency and enhance the independence of the model system. Firstly, the paper constructed crop output potential model system based on distributed computing architecture. Secondly, the paper designed the model system of crop output potential under network environment and implemented crop potential model components at all levels by using componentware technology. Finally, with the abstraction mechanism of interface, the paper integrated all kinds of crop output potential models which were loosely coupled model components with SuperMap IS .NET 2008, and realized crop output potential model system. The results show that the system has the characteristics of wider applicability, better independence and higher processing performance, which provides ADM and technical support for construction of major grain-producing areas, crop production management and potential mining.
