  • Abstract
The Angra Neutrino Project aims to design and assemble an antineutrinos detection device to perform the monitoring of the Angra dos Reis nuclear reactor activity. Nuclear reactors are intense sources of antineutrinos, and the thermal power released in the fission process is directly related to the flow-rate of these particles. The antineutrino production also provides valuable information on the nuclear source isotopic composition. This paper describes the present development status of two different subsystems of the Neutrinos Angra detector, which together constitute the Slow-Control system. The first subsystem is the microprocessed instrumentation system, which is responsible for operational variables monitoring (among these variables are temperature, pressure and level of the detecting fluid). The second one is focused on the development of software tools for operational management of the whole experiment. This management system supervises the microcontrolled instrumentation stations, the data acquisition (DAQ) and the high voltage mainframe (used to feed the photomultipliers). The management system also comprises an user interface and data recording and recovering functionalities.
