Abstract
In this communication, the radiation performance of stacked arrangement of two modified rectangular patches is reported. The lower patch is fed through inset feed with SMA connector and the upper structure is parasitically coupled to the lower patch. Both patches have a narrow slot of different sizes and are placed one over each other. The size of upper patch is smaller than the lower patch. With such an arrangement, the antenna presents circular polarization with much improved impedance and axial ratio bandwidth performance.
