Abstract :
In this paper, a study of the possibilities of the corrective and emergency effects of coordinated secondary voltage control of transmission and distribution systems is presented. They control load tap changing transformer (ULTC) positions to ensure that voltage and loading constraints are satisfied under normal and emergency conditions such as the control strategies to minimise system losses and reactive power interchanges and provide voltage stability and security. In addition, a special emergency mode of operations based on blocking and unblocking of under load tap changing (ULTC) into internal distribution system is also proposed. Preliminary results the benefits of application of CSVC are illustrated in a real system of the distribution utility in the South of Brazil
