Abstract :
The design and test of a high-efficiency, high-frequency commutated uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system is described. The UPS consists of a push-pull, current mode battery charger and a high-frequency, secondary commutated pulse width modulation (PWM) inverter with a DC-DC converter link. The UPS is intended to supply a personal computer. The design procedure, control strategy, analysis involved, and results obtained are presented.<>
