Abstract
Basic requirements and research and development directions for improving the user acceptance and usage of medical information systems (MISs) are described. These play an important role in enabling physicians or other users working in health-care services to interact easily with the system to modify and query the associated information base. Desirable kinds of interaction styles and user-supportive facilities in MISs are described
