Abstract :
A novel and simple configuration of the planar transmission line transformer using coupled microstrip lines is proposed. A design methodology is also presented. The simulated and measured results demonstrate broadband impedance transformation with good efficiency for RF and microwave circuit design. The effects of the deviation from the optimal characteristic impedance and transformation ratio are investigated as well.
