  • Abstract
According to the planning data of Henan power grid in 2015, the dynamic voltage stability of Henan power grid is analysed. BPA and the stable curve analysis tool were used as analysis software to simulate and calculate the transient stability of Henan power grid after a serious fault in the study. Static Var Compensator (SVC) was suggested to implement in the west of Henan province which is weak in voltage support. The transient stability was also simulated and calculated when using SVC. The control strategies before and after using SVC were compared. The simulation results show that the control strategies greatly reduced using SVC in the case of the Henan power grid of the same serious fault, SVC effectively improve the voltage stability of the Henan power grid.
