Abstract
Capacitive voltage transformer (CVT) in high and medium voltage system cannot be used for harmonic voltage measurement. A new method making use of capacitive taps in current transformer (CT) bushings is recommended here, this method can achieve the good precision of harmonic voltage measurement. Attention to potential transformer (PT) should be paid in special cases such as a resistor or nonlinear resistor is connected across the neutral point on primary side and ground. In such a case, the harmonic voltage measurement cannot reflect the real distortion of the system voltage.
