Abstract :
A silicon Mach-Zehnder interferometer-based optical isolator is fabricated by directly bonding a magneto-optical garnet Ce:YIG. By reducing the length of reciprocal phase shifter, an optical isolation > 20 dB is obtained in 8 nm wavelength width.
