Abstract :
Half bridge magnetizing inductor (LmC) resonant dc/dc converter reduces the high current ripple of the output capacitor in LLC resonant converter maintaining narrow switching frequency and soft switching. This paper presents analysis and design of the half bridge LmC resonant converter. Using the extended describing function (EDF), the steady state analysis is carried out. Based on the results, the design considerations are suggested. The hardware prototype with 24-V/10-A is built and tested to verify the analysis results.
