Abstract :
Outlines a sequence of steps that will enable you to very quickly develop useful skill levels in schematic capture CAD tools and digital board simulation. Our experience is that, if given a little tutorial help and a partially drawn schematic for the microcomputer design, a person who is familiar with basic operating system commands can work through these steps in 8-12 hours, depending on how many side roads he or she takes. Let´s say it takes you two or three days to work though a sequence such as this so that you can simulate a new design you are working on. This is indeed a very small investment for the potential return of saving several design spins and getting your product to market months earlier
