Abstract :
A brush pen is one of traditional writing tools, and it is used to practice the writing characters in schools. Handwriting with the brush pen requires some basic skills for pupils and students. For example, they must keep speed of the brush pen while drawing strokes. In order to support hand writing practice, motion analysis of the written character is necessary. In this paper, we developed a human-computer interface for hand writing character. Writers use a brush pen and a white paper. Strokes written by the brush pen can be inputted into a computer by using a CCD camera. And handwriting characters can be reconstructed and displayed on the computer display at the realistic rate. We propose an algorithm to evaluate the character to support writers training handwriting characters.
