Abstract :
In the study of energy storage battery used in wind power system, analysis of demand capacity of battery is a hot issue. Due to the high demand capacity coming from the great error between forecasted and actual power produced on the application of wind/storage system, this paper proposes a modified method to reduce demand capacity of battery energy storage system (BESS) under the forecast correction of wind power. Some desired performance specifications are obtained. The effectiveness and feasibility of this method is verified by simulation results with PSCAD.
