Abstract :
Residential networks enable us to control and composite functions on different home appliances, but the diversity of home appliances brings various kinds of middleware into a single house. Because only one kind of middleware is not used, home appliances on different middleware networks cannot use one another´s functions when they are physically connected. This paper proposes a generic framework for interoperability, in heterogeneous middleware networks, and presents residential networks constituted by UPnP and Havi networks as an example.
