Abstract :
Summary form only given. Three different configurations for adaptive detection of the optical phase modulation based on dynamic holography in photorefractive crystals were proposed recently (i.e. based on phase conjugation; on two-wave mixing, and on photoEMF effect. In first of these configurations the dynamic hologram plays role of a "smart retroreflector" and in the second one the hologram acts as a "smart beam-splitter". In which similar way the adaptive photoEMF photodetector can be treated? It seems that this configuration can be considered as a "smart photodiode structure" (or medium) optimally matched for detection of fast shifts of the initial 2D light pattern.
