Abstract :
A 2x8 rectangular, mm-wave, slot-loop antenna array using microstrip line feeding with passive phase-shifters was presented to demonstrate antenna array beam pattern impact to network throughput. A multi-beam radiation pattern provided spatial-diversity and mm-wave communication link robustness. When sufficient link margin between transmitter and receiver, a spatially diversified antenna array radiation pattern can adapt to the environment to preserve better communication link connectivity and improve mm-wave network performance.
