Abstract :
This paper deals with the problem of incorporating transformer tap estimation into modern block-based state estimators. Advantage is taken of the symmetry between voltages and taps in power flow and injection equations, in order to simplify the computation of Jacobian elements. Performance of the proposed technique is illustrated in small examples and real-life computation times are provided
