Abstract :
When stick-weld defect happens, the current inspection methods of weld quality are difficult to achieve an ideal result. This paper firstly analyzed the echo characteristics of ultrasonic curves which could reflect spot-welded joint defects. The peak-value marking algorithm was developed to identify joint defects quickly. Finally, a lot of experiments were conducted to verify proposed methods. Results showed that this fast-identification method is credible and the identification rate can reach 95% in total test samples
