Abstract
This paper introduces a methodology of optimization for the short term operation planning considering the complete network modeling. Benders´ method is employed to decompose the problem with respect to integer and continuous variables. The master problem contains only integer variables and considers the unit commitment. The subproblem includes only continuous variables and considers the optimal power flow. Numerical simulations have verified the effectiveness of this approach for small power systems
