Abstract :
Success in modern military operations depends not only on advantages in military technology, but also on decision superiority. In an agile, distributed and connected force, warfighters must quickly assimilate information and take focused, decisive action. The full situational picture can only be discerned by combining data from information networks and added knowledge from other participants in the operation. This information from a variety of sources must be transformed and combined to produce information products to meet the needs of the warfighter. In this paper we present how the marriage of deep collaboration technology (INTERACT) with information transformation technology (fuselets) can provide the warfighter with decision superiority in a wide variety of situations.
