Abstract :
This paper describes a state space model of the TCSC where the periodic steady state solution of the system is efficiently obtained in the time domain with the application of a Newton method based on a numerical differentiation procedure for the acceleration of the state variables convergence to the limit cycle. The solution is compared in terms of accuracy and efficiency against that obtained by a conventional brute force method based on the fourth order Runge-Kutta numerical integration method.
